I started thinking about buying a new pillow in 2007. It was now the year 2018.
Every time I went to pull the trigger, I'd go online and there were thousands of options. Page upon page - different fill types, different heights - and one gimmick after another. I didn't know where to start.
In parallel, I was traveling for work, staying in hotels every week and the pillows were all over the map. Soft, firm, short, tall, hot, cold - the inconsistency was driving me crazy. I was not a great sleeper, so even if this one thing was a bit off, it impacted my sleep.
I did not even know what I was looking for. But I knew the dichotomy of seemingly unlimited but generic options was not it.
Designing the product
So began a year-long process of research, experimentation, and continuous consumer feedback.
We slept on every type of pillow imaginable - down, kapok, latex, polyester, and more. We surveyed over 100 people on sleeping styles and preferences. We conducted rigorous follow up interviews.
We learned that polyester fill (down alternative) were far and away the most comfortable for the largest number of consumers - as well as the most versatile.
We also understood that individuals are all different sizes with different preferences - so why should all pillows be the same height?
This lengthy learning process led to the creation of what we truly believe is a world-class product - extraordinarily comfortable & customizable for you.

We're ecstatic about what we've created thus far.
But we're not done.
We're exploring several options for what's next. We'll stay true to our vision - simplicity, personalization, world-class comfort. We will go through the same robust, analytical, customer-centric process like we did developing the pillow.
